AUBURN - Romeo J. Heroux, 96, of 667 Washington St in Auburn, died Sunday, Feb. 1st. He was born in Providence, RI, son of Albert & Rose Heroux (Bedard), one of five siblings. Romeo was raised in the Northbridge area for the first half of his life and then resided in Auburn.
Romeo served in the Navy during WWII in the Asiatic/American Theater. After the Navy, he worked at The Whitin Machine Works as a machinist until he retired.
Having lived in an assisted living facility for the last 5 years, Romeo was known for his warm smile, and kind words. Romeo will be missed by all.
His graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 7th in St. Philip's Cemetery, Millbury St. in Grafton. Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury is assisting with the arrangements.
