SUTTON – Ronald C. Chase, 64, died Wednesday, Jan. 19th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, after a long illness.

He leaves his daughter, Jennifer L. Katori and her husband, Kevin of Blackstone; his fiancée, Lissa L. Gauthier and her two sons, Jason Bazinet and his wife, Michelle and Jeffrey Bazinet both of Northbridge; his close cousin, David Chase of Sutton. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Clarence H. and Helen B. (Pianowski) Chase.

He was a retired Worcester Police Officer and also worked in the family business for many years. He was a former U. S. Marine and was a 45 year member and Past Commander of the Dudley-Gendron American Legion Post #414 in Sutton, a member of the Blue Knights Police Motorcycle Association for 24 years and a member of the Marine Corp League, Blackstone Valley Detachment #911. He was a devoted fan of Elvis Presley and country music.

His calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23rd in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. His funeral service will be held at Noon Monday, Jan. 24th in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury. The Dudley-Gendron American Legion Post will conduct a ritual at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dudley-Gendron American Legion Post #414, 156 Boston Rd. Sutton, MA 01590.
