MILLBURY - Ronald L. Giroux, 77, died Sunday, Feb. 19th at UMASS Memorial Medical Center University Campus in Worcester.
His wife, Gail (Carpenter) Giroux died in 1995. He leaves, three children, Michael J. Giroux and Mark R. Giroux both of Millbury and Michelle M. Vassar and her husband, Jeffrey of Dudley; four grandchildren, Nichole Cole, Michael Giroux Jr., Nicholas Giroux and Taylor Vassar; four great grandchildren, Laci, Chloe, Liam and Mia; nephews and cousins. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Edmund and Mary (Desrossier) Giroux.
Mr. Giroux worked for the New England Power Service Company for 36 years, before he retired and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a US Navy veteran from 1958 to 1963 and was a member of the Charles F. Minney VFW Post in Millbury. He graduated from Millbury High School in 1957. His hobby was NASCAR. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved dog Bristol.
His Funeral Service will be held, at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23rd in the Church of the Assumption, 12 Waters Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22nd at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury.
