SOUTH GRAFTON - Ronald L. Knapik, 68, passed away on March 14, 2023 after complications related to heart surgery.
Ron was born and raised in South Grafton where he lived with his wife of 47 years, Margaret “Peggy” (Flynn) Knapik. Ron was son of the late Theodore Sr. and Sophie (Sulkoski) Knapik. Ron leaves his brother Theodore Knapik, Jr. and his wife Suzanne and nieces Tania and Kimberly. He leaves his best friends Ann Marie Terrance and Wayne and many more.
Ron graduated from Blackstone Valley Tech in 1973 after which he started Knapik Builders, Inc. He owned and operated the company for 50 years building approximately 250 homes in the Central Massachusetts area. Ron was a member of the Grafton Fire Department for approximately 10 years out of station 3 in South Grafton, MA. Ron was a member of the Elks Laconia, NH Lodge #586 and the International Polish Association.
Ron enjoyed boating on Lake Winnipesaukee, swinging in his excavator, mowing his property, attending BBQ’s, enjoying adult beverages with friends, vacationing, equipment auctions, collecting antique vehicles, dancing and listening to Polish music. Ron will be missed by his longtime friends whom he was loyal and close with.
Family and friends are invited to remember Ron’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Sunday, March 19th from Noon to 3 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 20th in St. James Church, 89 Main Street, South Grafton. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, South Grafton.
