GARDNER / MILLBURY – Ronald T. Proctor Jr., 56, formerly of Millbury, died Saturday Jan. 31st in his home, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He leaves his beloved wife, Linda M. (Gauthier) Dernalowicz Proctor; his mother, Jean M. (Madore) Proctor and her fiancée, James Stewart both of Millbury; two children, Laurie A. O'Rourke and her husband, Michael of East Templeton and Aleksander H. Dernalowicz of Gardner; three grandchildren, Noah, Quinn and Rowan O'Rourke; two brothers, James S. Proctor and his wife Robin of Charlton and Richard P. Proctor and his fiancee Luann Wells of Worcester; a sister, Patti J. Germaine and her husband, Michael of North Attleborough; his father-in-law, Roy Gauthier of Gardner and his mother-in-law Evelyn Straus of East Templeton, a brother-in-law Brian Gauthier of Petersham; two nephews, Joseph and Steven Germaine of North Attleborough. He was predeceased by his father, Ronald T. Proctor Sr.

He was born in Worcester and graduated from Millbury High School in 1976 where he was captain of the hockey team. He was a member of the Millbury Softball League, the Millbury Old Time Inn Bowling Team, and a lifetime member of the Barnard Sportsmen's Camp in Vermont.

Ron took many hunting trips throughout the United States and Canada with his best friend Sean Pepper. He enjoyed his visits to Foxwoods as well as over 30 cruises with his wife Linda.
Ron's yearly lobster bake was an event that family and friends looked forward to attending.
Ron's greatest enjoyment came from his three grandchildren. "Pep" would spend every moment possible with them and looked forward to their annual vacation to Hampton Beach.

Ron owned and operated RTP Steel Erectors for over 30 years.

Ronald's calling hours will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday Feb. 5th followed by his funeral service at 4 p.m. all in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. After cremation burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to GVNA Hospice, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440.
