UXBRIDGE - Roy W. "Buster" Brown, Jr., 62 of 151 West Hartford Ave., passed away at his home on Saturday, March 13th after a 5 year battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Racicot) Aubin-Brown, his mother Bernice (White) Brown of Milford, a daughter, Sherry Brown, his grandson, Devon Brown; 5 step children, Bobbie Cartier and her husband, Richard of Millbury, Lawrence L. Aubin of Whitinsville, Amber and Leah Aubin of Milford and Marine PFC Richard R. Aubin, stationed in Iwakuni, Japan; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by his father Roy W. Brown Sr. and a son, John J. Brown.
He was born in Milford on March 3, 1948 and attended Milford School Systems Class of 1966. He was formerly employed by Beaumont Nursing Home. He was a proud Marine CPL, serving in the Vietnam War. He loved collecting Marine items and classic cars. He enjoyed taking his Bel Air to shows and cruise nights, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and his dog, Gizmo, whom was always by his side during his illness. He was a member of the Dudley Gendron American Legion Post 414 in Sutton and the Vietnam Veterans of America, Central Mass. Post #554 in Auburn.
Roy's family would like to thank Dana-Farber of Boston and Milford, Hospice of Milford Hospital and all the staff for their great care. A special thank you is also giving to his Hospice Nurse Tammy Davis and cousins Priscilla and Thomas Ames.
His funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday March 17th in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 19 Winter St. in Milford. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery in Sutton and calling hours are Tuesday, March 16th from 5 to 8 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Rt. 122A, in Millbury. The family respectfully requests that those attending his funeral Mass, go directly to the church.
