MILLBURY- Roy F. Erickson, 91, of 35 Wheelock Ave., died Monday, Jan 14th in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
He leaves his long time companion, Betty Joinville of Millbury; five nephews, Vernon Erickson and his wife Marian of Millbury, Russell Erickson and his wife Frances of Sutton, Richard Erickson and his wife Mary of Eastham, Robert Erickson of Pompano Beach, FL and Charles Carlson and his wife Janet of Eastham; three nieces, Shirley wife of Richard Courtney of Sutton, Linda wife of Angelo Mendillo of Kingston, RI and Nancy wife of Edward LeClaire of Millbury. He was born in Worcester and was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Freda (Frederickson) Erickson, two sisters, Florence O. Erickson and Helen Carlson and two brothers, Einar and Harold Erickson all of Millbury.
Mr. Erickson was a machine operator at Norton Company in Worcester for over 30 years, retiring in 1978. He was an Army veteran during WW II and was a member of the Vernon Hill American Legion Post.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester. There will be a calling hour from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral on Thursday, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
