Russell E. Nelson

Services have been rescheduled to Wednesday and Thursday

MILLBURY – Russell E. Nelson, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 9^th after a brief illness in Rose Monahan Hospice Home.

Russell leaves his wife of 65 years, Louise (Leseman) Nelson; a daughter, Vicki D. Coutu and her husband, John of Charlton; a granddaughter, Jacqueline Christofaro and her husband, Kevin Jr. of Centerville; a great grandson, Kevin Christofaro, III; many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his parents, Roland and Ruth (Lawlis) Nelson, a son, Donald Nelson, and four siblings.

Russell was a veteran of the United States Army and worked many years as a machinist.  He enjoyed fishing trips with friends, especially on Cape Cod.  

Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation on Wednesday, Feb. 14^th from 4 to 6 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury.   His graveside service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 15^th at 11 a.m. in All Faith’s Cemetery, 7 Island Road, Worcester.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, 10 Judith Road, Worcester MA 01602.
