MILLBURY – Ruth A. (Magerowski) Beatty, 66, died Thursday, Jan. 8th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
She leaves her husband, Lawrence C. Beatty Jr.; a son, Edward Beatty of Leicester; two step-sons, Mark W. Beatty of Leicester and Larry C. Beatty, III of Millbury; a step-daughter, Kathy Leary of North Grafton; a brother, Joseph Magerowski of Spencer; a sister, Rita Anderson of East Douglas; eight grandchildren, Mallaidh Beatty, David Maine Sasha Beatty, Kelly Beatty, Becky Beatty, Joshua Leary Jason Leary and Brittany Beatty; nephews and nieces. Ruth was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Antionette (Morse) Magerowski, a son, David Beatty, a step-daughter, Cindy Sturges, a step-son, Scott Beatty, a sister, Marie Schofield. She attended Sutton Schools.
Mrs. Beatty was a house keeper at various nursing homes in the area and she also worked at Joseph Levitt Co., before she retired. The family wishes to thank UMASS Memorial Hospice, Christopher House and the Shrewsbury Nursing Home for their compassion and care. Ruth was an Elvis fan.
Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11th in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to UMASS Memorial Hospice 650 Lincoln Street Worcester, MA 01605.
