SUTTON – Ruth A. (Amster) Harmon, 93, passed away on Monday Sept. 24th surrounded by her family in St. Vincent Hospital.
Ruth’s husband, Francis A. Harmon passed away in 2007. She leaves three daughters, Lois A. Land and her husband, John of Mt. Ranch, CA, Ruth A. Lorusso and her husband, Leonard of Sutton and Delia M. Karacius and her husband, David of Sutton; six grandchildren, Jonathan, Caleb, D. Malachi, Ezra, Julie and Andrea; five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two children, Eugene and Donna Harmon.
Ruth was known for her loving manner and will always be remembered for making everyone she met part of her family. She was “Ma Harmon” to everyone in the town of Sutton. Ruth was dedicated to the church and had a strong faith in God.
Family and friends will honor and remember Ruth’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Thursday, Sept. 27th from 5 to 8 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 28th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Marks Church, 356 Boston Road in Sutton. Burial will follow at West Sutton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lois and John’s Ministry to help the Syrian-Kurdish Refugee’s, checks may be made to CORE Inc., P.O. Box 239, Mt. Ranch, CA 95246.
