MILLBURY –Ruth L. (Erickson) O'Rourke, 92, died Wednesday, September 15th in her home in Millbury.
Her husband Leonard "Lenny" J. O'Rourke died in June of this year. Ruth leaves a daughter, Judith Rogers and her husband Robert of Millbury; four grandchildren, Ronald Rogers of Millbury, Cheryl Kehoe (with whom Ruth lived) and her husband Daniel of Worcester, Donna Daigneault and her husband Steven of Auburn and Randall Rogers of CT; five great grandchildren, Amanda and Andrew Kehoe, Kayla and Justin Daigneault and James Rogers; a sister, Mildred Thayer of NH and a good friend, Janina Linga, who was there when she needed her. She was born in Worcester and predeceased by her parents, Oscar E. and Cecelia (Cederlund) Erickson and a brother, Stanley Erickson.
Ruth attended the former Commerce High School of Worcester. She worked at Norton Company in Worcester for 45 years and was a member of the Millbury Council on Aging. Ruth enjoyed sports, crafts, traveling and most of all spending time with close family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 18th at 11 a.m. in All Faiths Cemetery, 7 Island Road, Worcester, MA 01603. There are no calling hours. Mulhane Home for Funerals in Millbury is assisting the family with arrangements.
