Ruth L. (Elander) Turner, 88, died Saturday, November 30, 2013 in Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.
Ruth leaves her husband of 65 years, Everett E. Turner; three children, Nancy J. Packard of Millbury, Stephen A. Turner and his wife, Patricia of Marlboro and Cheryl A. Fields of Millbury; five grandchildren, Stephanie Landgren, Kristin McCarthy, Vanessa Fields, Linnea Maselli and Michael Fields; four great grandchildren; a nephew, Mark Elander of NC. She is predeceased by her parents, Carl and Jesse (Foley) Elander; two brothers, Carl Robert and Kenneth William Elander.
Ruth was a graduate of the former Commerce High School in Worcester. She was a realtor for Dorothy Hickox Realty in Westboro for 32 years. Ruth loved the ocean and the beach. Her favorite times were family vacations on Cape Cod. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren who were her special angels. We will treasure our memories of our beautiful angel forever.
Ruth's calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3rd from 5 to 8 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street in Millbury.
A prayer service will follow the calling hours at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers contribution may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
