MILLBURY – Samuel A. Cameron, 76, went to eternal rest at his home surrounded by his loving family, after a valiant struggle with Lung Cancer.
Sam leaves two sons, Anthony E. Cameron and his wife Marie and Neal R. Cameron and his Fiance Jessica Gervais; his wife of 7 years, Helda Ong, all of Millbury; 6 step children, Rusma, Yuyun, Lanny, Melinda, Rudy, Hengky Nyo; 9 step grandchildren, one who was very special to Sam as he was given the Cameron last name, Sean Dente Cameron, all of Indonesia. Sam also has four sisters, Florence Forgette and her husband, Roland of Worcester, Blanche Provost of Shrewsbury, Marylou Ostermecky and her husband, John of Maine and Patricia LeTendre of Spencer; many nieces and nephews who he cared for very deeply. Sam also leaves an extended family that he treated as his own, as they called him Dad & Gram pa, Quonz and Thanh Nguyen and their children, Theo, Chien, Tuyen, Tran, Thoung, Quyen. Sam also leaves his beloved furry grandchildren, George, MooMoo, KiKi & Moses. Sam is predeceased by his parents, Florence (Wells) and Samuel Cameron, a sister, Marguerite LaPrade as well as two brother-in-laws, Gene LaPrade and WilRose LeTendre.

Sam graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School and upon graduation joined the U.S. Navy Seabees. He went on to own & operate Camco Construction Company and ultimately retired from Shaw Environmental. Sam had been a past officer of the Leicester Council Knights of Columbus, the Leicester Division. Sam was a very active volunteer in the Leicester Community, where he raised his family. He was a Boy Scout Leader, a Little League Coach and served on various committees, through the years. Sam will be missed by all who knew him.
The Family wishes to send a heartfelt thank you to all of Sam's doctors, especially, Dr. McNamee & Dr. Kaddis. Also a thank you goes out to the nurses & staff at Salmon VNA & Hospice as well as Father Paul LaPalme for his kindness and concern for Sam and his family.
