MILLBURY - Sandra J. (Merlin) Gilbert, 57, of 14 Rhodes St., died Monday, July 7, in St. Vincent Hospital, at the Worcester Medical Center, Worcester.
Her husband, Edward F. Gilbert died in 1994. She leaves a daughter, Wendy L. Pepin of Worcester; a brother, Stuart B. Merlin of Largo, Florida; two sisters, Claire V. VanKonynenburg and Donna L. Kane both of Nashua, N.H; a grandson; nephews and nieces. A brother, Lee F. Merlin and a sister Avis D. Anderson predeceased her. She was born in Holden, daughter of Edward F. and Dorothy C. (Wagner) Merlin and has lived in Millbury most of her life.
Mrs. Gilbert was a fork lift operator at the former LevittTM)s Furniture Co. in Worcester, before she retired in 1987.
She was a member of the Millbury Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 11, in the Millbury Baptist Church, Main St.. There are no calling hours. Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., ( www.mulhane.com ) is directing the arrangements.
