WORCESTER – Sandra A. (Roberts) Johnson, 63, formerly of Sutton and Oxford died Friday, January 29th in her home surrounded by her family.
Sandra leaves her husband, Jerome "Jerry" L. Johnson; three daughters, Shelley M. Donovan and her companion, Troy Dipina of Worcester, Susan J. Donovan and her companion Gary Ojerholm of Millbury and Sheila A. Peralta of Worcester; a granddaughter, Kayla M. Ojerholm of Millbury; her mother and father-in-law, J. L and Betty Jean Johnson of FL; her former husband, Richard F. Donovan of Worcester and a sister, Kathleen Roberts of Leicester. She was born in Sutton and is predeceased by her parents Franklyn W. and Agnes I. (Murphy) Roberts; a brother, Thomas Roberts and a baby sister.
Sandra graduated from Worcester Girls Trade in 1964. She worked for the Horace Mann Group Home in Sutton and for other home health aide agencies in the area, before retiring due to illness. Sandra previously worked for Bay County Sheriff's department in Panama City, Florida as a correctional officer. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, crocheting and baking. Sandra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
The family would like to express a special thank you to VNA Hospice, especially Sandra's nurse, Giselle and her home health aide, Mavis for all their care and compassion.
Sandra's funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2nd in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 1st in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Care Network, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, 01608.
