MARLBOROUGH– Sarah Jane Leboeuf, 40, passed away in July 2021 after being stricken ill in her home.
She leaves behind her mother Mary (SanSouci) Leboeuf; sister Katy Brodeur; sister Joanne Pressley and her husband Bryan Pressley, and their children Jocelyn and William Pressley; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. She is predeceased by her father Ronald Leboeuf. She grew up, and spent most of her life, in Southbridge MA, having moved to Marlborough late last year.
Sarah was a kind and compassionate person who dedicated her life to working with animals. She worked in the Biomedical science field after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Worcester State College. She began her career at Charles River in Shrewsbury and moved on to work at Harvard’s New England Primate center in Southborough, Biomere in Worcester, and finally Vertex in Boston. She loved her furry friends, especially her pets, Henry the dog and Sylvie the cat; and has brought love and passion into everything she’s done. She enjoyed spending time with her niece and nephew, playing board games, hiking, camping, and kayaking. She also loved to travel and cherished the time spent with her friends at home and across the country. Her favorite time of the year was the Fall, especially Halloween on which she also celebrated her birthday.
A period of calling hours will be held Friday Aug. 6th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury. A private burial will be held at a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery in Southbridge, MA.
