LEICESTER MILLBURY – Sarah E. "Sadie" (Hamilton) Magill, 90, died Monday, April 20th in St. Mary Health Care Center in Worcester.
She leaves a son, John W. Magill of Princeton; a daughter, Kathleen A. wife of James D. Barrett of Leicester; a sister, Ellen A. Mita of New Bedford; two sisters-in-law, Eleanor Hamilton of Brewster and Florence Hamilton of Granby; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Millbury and is predeceased by her parents, John and Mary E. (Gallagher) Hamilton, a daughter, Joan M. Magill, two brothers, William and John Hamilton and a sister, Mary C. Mazeika.
Sarah worked at Harleysville Insurance Co. before her retirement. She was an example of faith, hard work and courage, for her children.
Her funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 27th in St. Pius X Church, 1154 Main St. in Leicester. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 26th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St in Millbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
