Scott P. Hughes, 52, died Wednesday, July 11thafter a courageous battle.
A loving father and husband, he leaves his wife, Lisa (Bockweg) Hughes; two children, Colin and Evan Hughes both at home; his parents, Edward P. and Theresa (Mase) Hughes of Framingham; a brother, Stephen Hughes and his wife Michelle Lennartz of New York; his dear friend Nick Angelo of Webster; nieces, nephews; his dog, Oreo; and many, many loving friends. He will be missed deeply.
Scott was known for his sense of humor and witty remarks. He worked in business development at NeFab surrounded by supportive and generous co-workers. He was a member of the Sutton Planning board for many years, was a former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, and played the starring role each year at Sutton Schools' Breakfast with Santa. He enjoyed woodworking, motorcycles, and preparing specialty foods that he shared with many. He most cherished his time just being with his family and friends, especially his beloved sons.
His inspiring life will be celebrated at a funeral mass that will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 16, at St. Mark's Church, 356 Boston Road in Sutton. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday July 15th at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street in Millbury and burial will be private at a later date.
