Shirley M. (Reardon) Crandall passed away to be with the Lord on Friday Sept. 20, 2013.
She leaves a son Gary R. Crandall and wife Cindy of Worcester, a daughter Darlene K. Major and her husband Lenny of Brookfield; a daughter-in-law Donna Gamester Crandall of Warren; a sister Cynthia Benedict and husband Richard of Barre, a brother Richard Reardon and wife Peg of Middleboro; 7 grandchildren; Andrew Major and Wife Jocelyn, Erin Major, Kate-Lynn Morrill and husband Kyle, Gary Ross Crandall and wife Emily, Kristin Crandall, Mathew Crandall and Samantha Crandall; a great grandson Dawson Major and a step great-granddaughter Kayleigh Young. She was predeceased by husband W. Douglas Crandall in 2009, son Linwood D. Crandall in 2000 and brother Donald Ross Crandall in 1944.
Shirley was born in Worcester, MA on January 1, 1928 to Bernard and Marguerite Reardon. She lived in Spencer/East Brookfield most of her marriage and retired to Overlook Masonic Home in Charlton. She was a member of East Brookfield Baptist Church. Her previous employment was with Paul Revere Insurance and then Legal Secretary for Law Firms of Attorney Florence Bolton and later with Attorney James Lock.
She was a Chairperson with the Masonic home for the Scholarship Fund and also President of the Council.
Shirley loved being with family and her grandchildren and cherished every holiday and cookout.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at Overlook Masonic Home Chapel, 88 Masonic Home Road Charlton, MA on Friday Sept 27th at 3:00 pm.
