MILLBURY Shirley C. (Saucier) Dempsey, 69, of 211 Riverlin St., died Monday, May 8th, in St. Vincent Hospital.
She leaves her husband, Alexander H. Dempsey Jr.; five children, Barry P. Dempsey of Lowell, Eric W. Dempsey of Worcester, Jeffrey D. Dempsey of Millbury, Kathy L. Hale of Millbury and Debra J. Rano of Millbury; six grandchildren; six brothers, John Saucier of Whitinsvillle, Bernard Saucier of Worcester, Richard Saucier and Donald Saucier both of Uxbridge, Paul Saucier of Arizona. Gary Saucier of Worcester and Edmond Saucier of Maine; four sisters, Patricia Rouselle of R.I., Deborah McMahon of R.I., Bernice Desilets and Jean Ethier both of Uxbridge; nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by her parents, Edmond and Luculle (Poulin) Saucier, a brother, Philip R. Saucier and a sister, Lorraine Bernier.
Mrs. Dempsey was a bartender at the Dudley-Gendron American Legion Post in Sutton, retiring in February. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Charles F. Minney VFW Post in Millbury.
Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 10th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. A private graveside service will be held in Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
