MILLBURY - Shirley J. (Carlstrom) Donnelly, 67, of 23 Carleton Rd., died Friday, July 25 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, Worcester, after a long illness.
She leaves her husband of 43 years, Taylor P. Donnelly; a son, Paul T. Donnelly of Lowell; a daughter, Susan M. Donnelly of West Roxbury; three sisters, Constance Dumas and Janet Gabree both of Millbury and June Johnson of South Yarmouth; a brother, Edwin Carlstrom Jr. of Arizona; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Edwin and Rose (Racicot) Carlstrom and has lived in Millbury most of her life. She graduated from Millbury High School in 1954.
Mrs. Donnelly was a secretary at Travelers Insurance Co. in Worcester, many years ago.
She was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church and a member of a social club, Girls from the Roaring 50's. She loved traveling, gardening and Cape Cod.
The funeral will be held Monday, July 28, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., ( www.mulhane.com ) with a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St.. Burial will be in West Millbury Cemetery. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 27 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 23 Speen St., Framingham, Ma. 01701.
