MILLBURY Shirley E. (Johnson) LaCoy, 74, of 20 Tainter Hill Rd., died Monday, Jan. 1st in Millbury Health Care Center.
She leaves her husband of 53 years, Arthur LaCoy Jr.; a son, Arthur J. LaCoy of Millbury; four daughters, Donna wife Len Lussier of Whitinsville, Elizabeth wife of Jack Mazeika of Millbury, Christine wife of Bill Anderson of Auburn and Mary wife of Mike Kennedy of Millbury; a brother, Larry Johnson of Oxford; six grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She is predeceased by a sister, Frances Craft. Shirley was born in Worcester, daughter of Lawrence E. and Beatrice (Belanger) Johnson.
Mrs. LaCoy was a former Christian Doctrine teacher at St. BrigidTM)s Church. She enjoyed oil painting, crafts, camping and traveling the Mohawk Trail for 50 years.
Her funeral will be held Friday, Jan. 5th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in St. BrigidTM)s Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4th in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Activity Fund of the Millbury Health Care Center, 312 Millbury Ave., Millbury, MA 01527.
