MILLBURY Shirley A. (Legassey) Stallsmith, 57, of Millbury, formerly of South Grafton, died unexpectedly Friday, April 10th in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, after being stricken ill at home.
She leaves her devoted husband of 29 years, Lester A. Stallsmith; two children, Tracy wife of Jeffrey Cardin of Sutton and Angela wife of Scott Latter of West Brookfield; six grandchildren, Joshua, Nicholas, Danielle, Nathan, Taylor and Paige; her mother, Dorothy (Peters) Legassey of Grafton; three sister, Janice wife of Charles Norsigian of Millbury, Sandra wife of Roger Beaudoin of Dudley and Linda wife of Joseph Pollinger of South Grafton ; four brothers, Larry Legassey and his wife, Dawn and Jimmy Legassey all of Uxbridge, Billy Legassey and his wife Carol of Sutton and Tommy Legassey and his wife Deborah of Douglas; nephews and nieces.
Shirley was a member, a Deacon and a member of the WomanTM)s Fellowship of the First Congregational Church in Sutton. She was a wonderful mother and an exceptional grandmother and will be greatly missed by all.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 14th in the First Congregational Church, 307 Boston Rd., on the common, in Sutton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 13th in Mulhane Home for Funeral, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be private in Fairview Cemetery in South Grafton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church, 307 Boston Rd., Sutton, MA 01590.
