MILLBURY – Shirley M. (Lacosse) Troy, 81, died Monday, November 14, 2011 in Milford Regional Medical Center in Milford.
Her husband, Henry F. Troy died in 1986. Shirley leaves two sons, Kevin Troy and his wife, Cheryl of Sutton and William Troy of Millbury; four grandchildren, Madison, Logan, Kaitlyn Troy and Kelly Crockett; a sister, Joan Sanchioni of Milford; nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, William E. and Rita M. (Dean) Lacosse and a son, Stephen Troy.
She was the head administrative clerk at Quinsigamond Community College for 30 years. Shirley was very involved with Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Worcester and the Millbury Senior Center in Millbury. She enjoyed going to the beach, reading books, knitting, having holidays at the house and spending time with friends, family and especially her grandchildren.
Shirley's funeral will be held on Friday, Nov. 18th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St., in Worcester. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Worcester. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St., Worcester, 01604.
