MILLBURY – Stanley F. Stachura, 65, died with dignity surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, May 26th after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 47 years, Rosemary E. (Kearney) Stachura; three children, Rita M. Stachura of Thompson, CT, Stanley W. Stachura and his wife, Jennifer and Frank E. Stachura and his wife Tammy all of Millbury; five grandchildren, Jessica and Stephen Stachura, Amy and John Goodnow and Christopher Bilodeau; a sister, Barbara Tivnan of Shrewsbury and his bird, Sprite. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Frank S. and Alma M. (Baribeau) Stachura. He graduated from Shrewsbury High School in 1964.
Stanley worked at United Parcel Service for 20 years, retiring in 1988. He was an avid baseball fan and was extremely proud of his favorite fan award presented to him by the Blackstone Valley Technical High School baseball team. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 31st in Central Cemetery, West & Waters St. in Millbury. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stanley F. Stachura Memorial Fund, in care of Blackstone Valley Technical High School, 65 Pleasant St., Upton, MA 01568.
