Statia Roach

August 5, 1915 — October 28, 2003

MILLBURY Statia C. (Wojnar) Roach, 88, of 10 Washington St., died Tuesday, Oct. 28th in the Christopher House of Worcester.

Her husband, Raymond T. Roach Sr., died in January. She leaves a son, Raymond T. Roach Jr. of Milton; three daughters, Kathleen I. Ohlson and Barbara Roach-Kyes both of Worcester and Mary A. Pierce of Auburn; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. A brother, John Waner and four sisters, Genevieve Burbank, Eva Baker, Bertha Gauthier and Cecelia Gribauskas predeceased her. She was born in South Grafton, daughter of Albert and Katherine Wojnar.

Mrs. Roach was a member of St. BrigidTM)s Church and itTM)s WomenTM)s Club. She was a 4-H leader and an avid reader.

The funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 1st from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. BrigidTM)s Church, 59 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in St. BrigidTM)s Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the FriendTM)s of the Millbury Public Library, 128 Elm St., Millbury, Ma. 01527.
