Stella Elkinson

August 6, 1913 — August 11, 2008

SOUTH GRAFTON – Stella L. (Such) Elkinson, 95, of Providence Road, died Monday, August 11th in her home surrounded by her family.

Her husband, Joseph E. Elkinson died in 1974. She leaves a son, Edward Elkinson and his wife Lorraine of Rochester, NH; a daughter, Elaine Bolivar and her husband Robert of Auburn; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ellen Elkinson of Worcester; a brother, Edward Such and two sisters, Michaelena Such and Pauline Hospod all of South Grafton; many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her grandsons, Mark Elkinson, Brian Elkinson, Keith Elkinson, Wayne Bolivar, Kenneth Elkinson and her granddaughter, Christine Elkinson. Stella also had 6 great-grandchildren, Robert, Andrew, Marissa, Alexis, Jackson and Lucas. Mrs. Elkinson was born on August 6, 1913 in South Grafton and is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Olympia (Tomkiewicz) Such; a son, Chester Elkinson; two sisters, Julia Baran and Helen Beauregard and two brothers, Walter Such and Henry Such.

Mrs. Elkinson's funeral will be held Friday, August 15th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. James Church, 89 Main St. in South Grafton. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in South Grafton. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 14th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., Boston, MA 02210 or the Chet Elkinson Memorial Scholarship Foundation, c/o Saint Peter Marian, 781 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605 and the VNA Care Network, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
