MILLBURY - Stephan Allen Brisson 72, passed away on July 21, 2024 at UMASS Hospital in Worcester, MA after a courageous battle with cancer.
Stephan was born on December 7, 1951 in Worcester, Massachusetts, to the late Stanley and Dorothy Brisson. He is survived by his wife Mary Diane Brisson, his son and soon to be daughter in law Matthew Brisson and Jayne Drummey of Wakefield, RI, his daughter and son in law Ashley and Shawn Rajchel of Millbury; his grandchildren, Ettalyn, Olive, and Reagan Rajchel; brother and sister in law Robert and Elsa Brisson of California, and brother and sister in law David and Mary Lou Brisson of Shrewsbury, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
Stephan was a graduate of St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury, where he graduated in 1969. He spent his early years working at the Pancake House in Shrewsbury, where he met the love of his life Diane. He later moved on to Wyman-Gordon where he worked for over 20 years and finished his career at Kadant Solutions. Despite his many responsibilities and dedication to work, he always made time for his family and his passions.
Stephan was an incredible husband, father, and grandfather. Anyone who knew him knew that his family was his entire world. You would often find him either coaching or attending his kids or grandkids sporting events. He was an avid golfer, skier, and spent many hours in his yard and garden. Steve was known to be a ‘jack of all trades’ and was known for his patience, kind-hearted nature, and his ability to put others before himself.
Stephan and Diane spent many of their years together travelling, hosting Christmas parties, boating on Dorothy Pond, and skiing in the winter months. In the later stages of his life, he focused much of his time on caring for his wife and spoiling his three grandchildren.
His devotion to his family left a mark on us that will never fade. We find comfort in knowing that Stephan’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
Family and friends are invited to remember and honor Stephan’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Friday, July 26th from 4 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main Street, Millbury.
