Suzanne V. (Francis) Horne, 71, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, Feb. 26th after a battle with ALS.
Suzanne leaves her devoted husband of 49 years, Richard W. Horne; her three children, Karen Tavernier and her husband, Ron of Holland, Rick Horne and his wife, Christine of Douglas and Amy Bishop and her husband, John of Wales; nine grandchildren, Joe, Chelsea, Abby, Kenny, Robert, Joshua, Matthew, Michaela and Jackson; five siblings, Lynn Sanborn of Hubbardston, Dottie Page of Sutton, Debra Flanagan of Rutland, Kenneth Francis of Boylston; her great aunt, Viola King of Worcester; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Virginia (King) Francis and a brother, Robert Francis.
Suzanne was a Town Administrator for the towns of Ashby, Dudley and Millville for many years, after she proudly received her master's degree from Clark University in 1994 in Public Administration. Suzanne enjoyed a long retirement with her husband, spending time outdoors, gardening, antiquing, biking and walking on the Florida beaches. She was a member of the Sutton School Committee, a P.F. advisor and a deacon for her church and a volunteer for CASA for abused children. Most of all Suzanne loved spending time with her family and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Suzanne's calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 2nd from 5 to 8 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main Street in Millbury. Her Life Celebration will be private at the convenience of the family.
