Terrence W. "Terry" Riley, 72, died Thursday, March 21, 2013 in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, after a short illness.
He leaves cousins in Florida and Millbury and many friends, among which is his lifelong friend, James Willand. He was born in Worcester, son of Charles C. and Irene F. (Frazier) Riley and has lived in Millbury all his life. He graduated from Millbury High School in 1959.
Terry worked for the Lavallee Brothers Surveying in Sutton for many years before he retired. Previously he owned and operated Chick's Store in Millbury, before it closed. He also formerly worked at Wyman-Gordon Co. in Grafton. He was a member of the Auburn Sportsman's Club in Auburn and Singletary Rod & Gun Club in Sutton. He was an avid turkey hunter and also enjoyed fishing. He was a great fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
His funeral will be held on Monday, March 25th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 24th in the funeral home.
