MILLBURY - Thelma L. (Benson) Swedberg, 84, died peacefully Monday at St. Camillus Health Care Center. Thelma's family would like to thank all the caregivers at St. Camillus Health Care Center for the wonderful care they gave to her over the past year.
She leaves her husband, John E. Swedberg; two daughters, Kristin Wall and her husband David of Millbury and Lisa Swedberg of Lincolnville, Maine, two grandchildren, Rachel Wall and Jason Wall.
Thelma was a loving wife and mother, who, with her husband Jack, enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the US and Canada. She became the better fisherman of the two by catching the largest salmon. She was a past president and an active member of the Millbury Women's Club, also an active member the Order of the Eastern Star, and the First Congregational Church of Millbury. She loved to sing, cook, and help anyone in need.
There are no services and the burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The First Congregational Church of Millbury.
