Theodore J. Misiaszek, 81, died Wednesday, Aug. 19th in Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northbridge.
His wife Genevieve A. (Szerlag) Misiaszek died in 2012. He leaves an aunt, Ann Houde of South Grafton; close friends, Cathy and Brian Maranda of Grafton and their children, who called him Grampa, Amanda and Matthew; He was born in Grafton and is predeceased by his parents, Walter and Mary (Knapik) Misiaszek and other Uncles and Aunts.
Ted was a funeral director working at other funeral homes in the Worcester and Boston area before opening his own funeral home, the former Misiaszek Funeral Home, in South Grafton. He was an Army veteran during the Korean War, serving in Germany, in Graves Registration.
His Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24th at St. Stephen's Church, 357 Grafton St. in Worcester. Calling hours are 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23rd in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in South Grafton. The family respectfully requests that those attending the Mass, go directly to the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fr. John L. Henault of Haiti, in care of Gerald A. Henault, 29 Blackstone St., Sutton, MA 01590.
