MILLBURY- Thomas R. Gallacher, 71, of 44 Maple St., died Thursday, May 8th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 50 years, Gloria J. (Cofske) Gallacher; a son, Jeffrey T. Gallacher and his wife Michelle of Tennessee; four daughters, Susan M. wife of William Johnson of Auburn, Kathleen A. Gallacher of Millbury, Carolyn M. Lewis of Northbridge and Kerri A. Gallacher of Whitinsville; a brother, George Gallacher of Branford, CT; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, George R. and Julia (Sullivan) Gallacher and a sister Eileen Weidman.
Mr. Gallacher worked at New England High Carbon Wire Co in Millbury for 15 years and then worked as a custodian for the Millbury School Department, retiring in 2002.
His funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10th in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Organ Fund of St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St., Millbury, MA 01527. Mulhane Home for Funerals in Millbury is assisting the family with arrangements.
