SUTTON / MARLBOROUGH – Thomas E. Zysk, 70, formerly of Marlborough, died Friday, March 6th in his home, after a long valiant battle with Lou Gehrig's disease.
He leaves his wife, Carol Ann (Vear) Zysk; his former wife, Betty (Ringgard) Zysk; two sons, Gary Zysk and his wife Carol Jean of Holden and Wayne Zysk and his wife Heidi of Iowa; a brother, Edwin Zysk and his wife Janice of Maine; a sister, Dorothy Whittaker of New Hampshire; three step-daughters, Danielle White and her husband Joseph of Millbury, Renee Ekberg of Uxbridge and Kristiann Davenport and her husband Anthony of Holden; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; nephews and nieces. He was born in New York son of Edward and Anna (Vira) Zysk and lived for many years in Worcester before moving to Oakham.
Mr. Zysk retired from the Army National Guard, Framingham Shop, after forty years of service. He worked part time for many years in the dairy department at the Stop & Shop in Westborough. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of Masons. His loves were his family and friends and travel.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 11th in St. John's Episcopal Church, 3 Pleasant St. in Sutton. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery in Sutton. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ALS Association, 75 McNeil Way, Suite 310, Dedham, MA 02026.
