SHREWSBURY – Vincent P. Flynn, 93, died Wednesday, Sept. 22nd peacefully in his home.
His beloved wife, Dorothy (Morton) Flynn died in 1986. He leaves two daughters, Janet M. Keown and her husband Arthur of Sutton and Katherine Butler of Northborough; two sons, Robert "Jim" Flynn of Worcester and Timothy P. Flynn of Holden; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was born in Worcester and is predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Ellen T. (Sullivan) Flynn, two sons, John and Vincent Flynn; a daughter, Nancy Lemoine and seven brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Flynn was a pipe fitter for Johnson Control for 20 years, retiring in 1984 and then worked part time for Frank White. Previously he was a self employed pipefitter. He was Navy and a Coast Guard veteran of WW II. His caretakers were his daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Arthur Keown and his great grandson, Adam W. Keown
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27th in St. Philip's Cemetery, Millbury St. in Grafton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Mulhane Home for Funerals in Millbury is assisting the family with the arrangements.
