MILLBURY Vincent Robert Lapomardo, 80, of 20 Marion Ave., died Wednesday, Jan. 31st in Kindred Hospital Parkview in Leicester.
His wife, Lillian D. (Lorion) Doucette Lapomardo, died in 2004. He leaves a step-son, Robert W. Doucette and his wife Helene of Charlton; a step-daughter, Lucille A. Caulfield of Worcester; a brother, Frank Lapomardo of Clovis, CA; three sisters, Lena OTM)Dou and Rose Riccardi both of Worcester and Jennie Simonian of Alabama; three grandchildren, Keith Doucette, Michele Piergallini and Kara Caulfield; one great grandson, Cole Piergallini. He is predeceased by a sister, Michelina Ciociolo. He was born in Worcester, son of Matteo and Maria (Campanelli) Lapomardo
Mr. Lapomardo was a custodian for the Worcester School Department for 35 years, retiring in 1990. He was a Navy veteran serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater during WW II and was a member of the American Legion.
His funeral will be held Saturday, Feb. 3rd from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St. Worcester. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Webster. Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2nd in the funeral home.
