Vincent P. Norrman, 76, passed away Thursday, Feb. 9th in his home surrounded by his family.
Vincent leaves his wife of 51 years, Mary E. (Wallner) Norrman; a son, Paul A. Norrman and a daughter, Christine M. Norrman both of Millbury; three grandchildren, Brooklyn, Morgan and Makenna. He is predeceased by his grandmother Judith Norrman, Aunt Alphild Norrman, Uncle Stewart Norrman and in-laws, Robert and Ruth Wallner.
In his early years, Vinnie would help work on his grandfather's farm and the local cranberry bogs. After graduating from Silver Lake High School in 1958, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps. He honorably served 4 years for Marine RECON at the beginning of the Vietnam War. After he was honorably discharged, he returned to the United States and attended UMass Stockholm where he graduated with an AD in Botany. During these college years, he met the love of his life, Mary, while she was attending nursing school. He worked as a salesperson and manager for Agway Petroleum and Petro, before retiring in 2002.
Vinnie was an avid fisherman and hiker. His love of traveling brought he and his family cross country multiple times, camping and exploring the many National Parks of our country. The most important thing to Vinnie was attending and supporting his children's and grandchildren's events and passions.
