Vincent C. “Bud” Roy, Jr., 75, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 29th in St. Vincent’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Bud leaves his wife of 17 years, Susan M. (Charpentier) Roy; his son, Vincent J. Roy of Mendon; his daughter, Lori Johnson and her husband, Kevin of Oxford; three step daughters, Jennifer M. Orcutt of Worcester, Sandra J. Briggs and her husband, Robert of Florida and Lynn A. Bergeron and her husband, Steve of Uxbridge; a daughter in law, Brenda Roy of Dudley; his brother, Robert Roy of Gardner and eight grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife, Carol A. (Drezek) Roy, three sons, William D. Roy, Robert A. Roy and James P. Roy.
Bud was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam Era. He was a member of The American Legion Dudley Gendron Post 414 in Sutton. Bud worked for many years as an iron worker and was a member of the Local 7.
Bud’s graveside service and burial with military honors will he held on Wednesday, August 2nd at 11 a.m. in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street in Worcester.
