SUTTON Viola G. (Flagg) Fanning, 78, of 669 Washington St., Auburn, formerly of Putnam Hill Road, Sutton, died Wednesday, Oct. 26th in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
Her husband, George E. Fanning died in 1993. She leaves a daughter, Patricia F. Fanning-French and her husband, Howard C. French and a son, Robert G. and his wife Eilene Fanning all of Dudley and six grandchildren. She is predeceased by a son, Thomas C. Fanning, who died in 1985, a sister, Elaine Lundgren and a brother, Arthur J. Flagg Jr. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Arthur J. and Alice V. (Oliver) Flagg.
Mrs. Fanning graduated fromWorcester Schools and was a beautician many years ago in Worcester. She was a member of St. MarkTM)s Parish in Sutton.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, Oct. 29th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. MarkTM)s Church, 356 Boston Rd., Sutton. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery, Sutton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28th, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association 330 Congress St., Boston, MA 02210 or a Charity of the donorTM)s choice.
