MILLBURY - Viola A. (Ginotis) Waitkevich, 83, of 39 Dolan Rd., formerly of Worcester, died Monday, Dec. 31, in St. Vincent Hospital, at the Worcester Medical Center, Worcester.
She leaves her husband of 59 years, Vittie M. Waitkevich; a son Anthony G. Waitkevich of Millbury; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren. A daughter, Diane V. Sabonaitis of Millbury died in 1989. She was born in New Haven, Ct., daughter of Anthony and Stella (Yutenskas) Ginotis and lived in Worcester most of her life She then lived in Florida for 3 years, before moving to Millbury this year. She graduated from the former Commerce High School in Worcester.
Mrs. Waitkevich worked in the accounting department at the Worcester and Grafton State Hospitals, for many years, before retiring.
She was a member of Our Lady of Vilna Church and a former member of the Lithuanian Womens Club, both in Worcester.
A funeral will be held Friday, Jan. 4, from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Vilna Church 151 Sterling St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, in the funeral home.
