MILLBURY – Virginia E. "Ginny" (Benson) Army, 84, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Millbury, died Sunday, Feb. 28th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
Her husband, Arthur E. Army died in 1976. She leaves a daughter, Ann C. King and her husband, Richard E. King III of Shrewsbury, with whom she lived; a son, Glenn P. Army and his long time companion Linda Chisholm of Auburn; a brother, Bertil Benson of Grafton; two sisters, Belva Sagarian and her husband, John Sr. of Auburn and Carol Josephson and her husband, Albert of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren, Keith Army, Alissa King, Holly Army, Jenna Sinko, Jasmin Army and Richard King IV; six great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, Guy and Evelyn (Carlson) Benson, a son, Larry J. Army and a brother, Earl Benson.
Mrs. Army enjoyed camping, the ocean and boats, making lamps with her daughter, walking the dog, Shelby and most of all she enjoyed being with all of her family.
Virginia's funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 4th in the First Congregational Church, 148 West Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 3rd in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury.
