MILLBURY Virginia E. (Chevalier) Johnson, 80, died Thursday, Aug. 13th in the Christopher House in Worcester.
Her husband, Eugene F. Johnson, Jr. died in 1988. She leaves a sister, Phyllis McGovern and her husband, Marty and a brother, Richard E. Chevalier and his wife, Germaine all of Millbury; two step-sons, James L. Johnson of Lexington and Kenneth E. Johnson of Stratham, NH; four step-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, Ernest F. and Imelda E. (Smith) Chevalier and a brother, Ernest R. Chevalier.
Ginny worked at GMAC, in Worcester before moving to Hollywood, Florida. For 30 years, Ginny thoroughly enjoyed Florida. She was very active in many charities and participated in many functions run by the senior groups.
Virginia's funeral will be held Monday, Aug. 17th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. A calling hour will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 17th in the funeral home, prior to the funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place, Floor #6, Brookline, MA 02445-7226.
