Virginia M. Magnuson, 94, of Briarwood Assisted Living, formerly of Auburn, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in Knollwood Nursing Center.
She leaves, a sister-in-law, Evelyn L. Magnuson-Reed of Sutton, a nephew, Craig L. Magnuson and his wife, Lise of Millbury, a niece, Janet C. Clawson and her husband, Thomas of Millbury; grand nieces and grand nephews, Jeffery Magnuson, Kristofer Clawson, Wendy Kendrick, and Jayne Pierce, and many cousins. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, Walter L. Magnuson Sr. and Marie J (Larson) Magnuson and a brother, Walter L. Magnuson Jr.
Virginia was the executive secretary to the president of G.F. Wright Steel & Wire Co. until her retirement. She was a life-long member and Deaconess of Bethlehem Covenant Church and a member of the Stella Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff of the CCU of UMASS Memorial Hospital and a loving thank you to the staff and friends of the Briarwood Assisted Living for their compassion and loving care.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1st in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery in Worcester.
