MILLBURY Vivian E. (Johnson) Lucas, 90, of 95 Elm St., died Tuesday, Aug. 28th in Radius Health Care Center.
Her husband, Henry D. Lucas, died in 1989. She leaves two daughters, Jane L. wife of Oliver Mason Jr. of Millbury and Gail wife of Michael Scichilone of Spencer; three grandchildren, Andrew Mason of Auburn, Alison Mason of Millbury and Amy Bartolomei of Spencer; two great-grandchildren, Kiki and Stavros of Spencer; a sister, Lillian OTM)Leary of Shrewsbury. She was born in Worcester and is predeceased by her parents, Carl and Selma (Kjollerstrom) Johnson and two brothers, Carl and Chester Johnson.
She was affectionately known as Gram or Viv to her many family members and friends. She worked many years as a waitress, most of them at the Derby Contintental in Worcester. After she retired she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren.
Vivian loved being with people and dearly enjoyed the company of her friends at the Millbury Senior Center.
Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31st in the Millbury Federated Church, 20 Main St., Millbury. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westborough. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30th in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Massachusetts Society for the Blind, 51 Harvard, Worcester, MA 01609 or to the Friends of the Millbury Seniors, 1 River St., Millbury, MA 01527.
