Vladislava "Vladja" Zajanckauskas, 88, died on Monday May 5, 2014 at St. Camillus Health Center after a period of declining health. She was a resident of Worcester and Millbury for many years before moving to Sutton.
She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, in 2013. She is survived by her loving daughter, Diane M. Lavoie, and her husband Paul of Sutton; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She worked as millinery at Paul Hats in Worcester for many years and was a remarkable seamstress and an accomplished cook. She also was a lifetime member of Bally's Health Club.
She was very devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Calling hours for Vladja/Grammy are Thursday, May 8th from 5 to 7 pm at Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Friday, May 9th at St. Marks Catholic Church, 356 Boston Road in Sutton. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Vladja's name to St. Camillus Health Center, 447 Hill St. Whitinsville, MA. 01588.
