MILLBURY- Walter F. McSorley, 73, formerly of Boston, died Wednesday, August 20th in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, Worcester.
His wife, Carolyn (Veazie) McSorley died on August 29, 1989. He leaves three sons, Michael Sweeney of Osterville, Walter McSorley, III of Kingston and Paul McSorley of Charlton; six daughters, Patricia Whitford of Florida, Donna Baker of Quincy, Diane Martinez of Skowhegan, ME, Caz McSorley of Quincy, Mary Ward of Millbury and Debra McSorley of Narragansett, RI; two sisters, Janie Scarborough and Ethel Boyne of Quincy; eighteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was born in Boston and is predeceased by his parents, Walter F. and Emily R. (Evans) McSorley; two brothers, Ralph and William McSorley and two grandchildren, Michelle McSorley and Kristin Sweeney.
Walter was a truck driver for United Liquor's and Schlitz Company for many years. He was also a member of the Local 25 Teamsters Union. Walter was a dedicated family man, who loved spending time with his family.
Mr. McSorley's funeral service will be held on Monday, August 25th at 9 a.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury. His burial will be held at 11 a.m. in Elm Grove Cemetery, Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown, RI 02852. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 24th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Care Network & Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608.
