Walter Paille

October 23, 1920 — February 5, 2008

MILLBURY - Walter R. Paille, 87, died peacefully Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Millbury on October 23, 1920 he was the son of Louis and Laura (Robert) Paille, the youngest of 10 children. During WW II, he served in the CBI transport operations with the U.S. Air Force.

Walter, a life-long resident of Millbury, was the beloved husband of Lovita M. (Peloquin) Paille for 60 years. He is also survived by four daughters, Sandy Paille of Syracuse, NY, Elaine Stancil of Richmond VA, Laura White of Oxford and Diane Kelley of Hopkinton; a son, Ron Paille of Uxbridge; nine grandchildren; nephews and nieces.

He was a machinist at Wyman-Gordon in Grafton and retired from Innovations Inc. He was a member of St. Brigid's Church, a former president of the Franco American Club and a member of the Charles F. Minney VFW Post.

Walter was active in many sports as a member of the local hockey, bowling and horseshoe teams. In addition to being a supporter of the Millbury Woolies and Holy Cross Crusaders, he was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Walter lived his life to the fullest and will be missed by his family and friends.

His funeral will be held Friday, February 8th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 1 p.m. in St. Brigid's Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 7th in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 20 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
