Walter T. Wilga, 71, died Monday, April 30, 2012 in Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.
Walter is predeceased by his wife, Sandra B. (Piirainen)Wilga who died in 1994 and a son, David V. Wilga who died in 1981. He leaves two sons, Carl R. Wilga of Auburn and Roy P. Wilga of Millbury; a brother, Ronald V. Wilga and his wife, Cathy of Worcester; a sister, Joyce Monopoli and her husband, Matt of Washington; several nieces and nephews; he was the son of the late, Walter M. and Anna (Muniec) Wilga.
Walter enjoyed taking care of his property, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Worcester Surf Casting Club. Walter graduated from the former Worcester Boys Trade School and worked for many years at Norton Company in Worcester, retiring in 1994.
Walter's funeral will be held Thursday, May 3rd from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury with a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Burial will follow in Central Cemetery in Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2nd in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
