UXBRIDGE Walter I. Zuidema, 72, of 418 Pond St., died Monday, March 13th in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester
He leaves his wife, Lorraine B. (Renaud) Zuidema; four daughters, Nancy Aucock of Uxbridge, Cheryl Wylie of North Grosvenordale, CT, Robin Remillard of Uxbridge and Lori Randall of Uxbridge; two sons, Alan Tozzi of Worcester and Steven Zuidema of West Yarmouth; three brothers, Andrew Zuidema of Virginia, Kenneth Zuidema of Northbridge and Bernard Zuidema of Webster; a sister, Rena Dumphe of Millville; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Sutton, son of Albert and Eleanor (Holmes) Zuidema.
He worked at the former Hayward-Schuster Mills in East Douglas before retiring in 1999.
He was an Army veteran during the Korean War.
His funeral will be held Friday, March 17th from Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St., Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 10 Waters St., Millbury. Burial will be in Central Cemetery, Millbury. Calling hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 16th in the funeral home.
