MILLBURY – Wayne T. Gravel, 55, died Tuesday April 21st in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, after a prolonged illness.
He leaves two daughters, Amanda Roy and her husband Mike of Southbridge and Kristi Gravel of Southbridge; his parents, Robert and Irene (Pajala) Gravel of Millbury; two brothers, Mark Gravel of Agawam and Jeffrey Gravel of Auburn; three grandsons, Jarrod, Patrick and Joey and several nieces and cousins.
Wayne attended Assumption School in Millbury and Millbury Memorial High School. He was very involved with sports and during that time, especially Little League and High School baseball. He continued his passion for sports even after high school. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Wayne worked for many years at Polyclad in Millbury, Konica Corp. and as a forklift operator at Steelcraft in Millbury. He retired several years ago due to illness.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 29th at 10:30 a.m. in Assumption Church, 10 Waters St. in Millbury. There are no calling hours and burial will be private.
